Christmas Day 2005

Christmas Morning started later than usual this year... I actually got up before the kids and it was 8:00. I enjoyed the sleep but I must admit it's one more sign thier growing up :(
So I started my turkey cooking and got my big pot of coffee ready video camera going on the tripod... AH now we're ready!
So we gathered around and read some scripture and prayed as a family... then we tore into our gifts! FUN FUN FUN! My son Chris got me a beautiful cross necklace and the AWESOME "Healing Rain" CD / DVD by Michael W. Smith... my favorite video of all time is Michael W. Smith's Healing Rain.. UH so Powerful! From my son Josh I got 2 of my favorite movies... My Girl and The Cinderella Story! Corny I know but I love those sweet movies! From my Husband I got a very cool selection of stuff from Israel... a cool Black Hoody that says Israel on the front and Jerusalem on the Back... for the past 4 years that's all I ever want from him is stuff from Israel... last year I went there and got my own stuff! YAY YAY Israel is the Best... K well back to Christmas... presents were done and we went to get my mother n law to join us for our wonderful yummy turkey dinner! My son Josh got a drum set so he and his dad spent quite some time assembling that, my son Chris got an MP3 player and he spent quite a while downloading songs onto it... It holds like 3,000 songs so that keeps him busy! Then to carry on our tradition we head over to my mother in law's for our presents and her wonderful clam dip and chips! YUMMY... She always goes way overboard on us, this used to bother me because it never felt right but she loves to so I go along with it now! I got a nice coat (warm down and feathers); 2 pretty shirts; 3 movies; Walmart gift card; and a purse. Then we played Mad Gab for a few hours! That game is soooo fun! Then home we came! I was in bed by 11:00 and asleep straight through the night for the first time in over a week! That was GREAT!
