I love these Lyrics

Nobody stood and applauded them
So they knew from the start
This road would not lead to fame
All they really knew for sure was Jesus had called to them
He said "Come follow me" and they came
With reckless abandon they came

Empty nets lying there at the waters edge
Told a story that few could believe and none could explain
How some crazy fishermen agreed to go where Jesus lead
With no thought for what they would gain
For Jesus had called them by name and they answered

CHORUS
We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die
For the sake of the call

Drawn like the rivers are drawn to the sea
No turning back for the water cannot help but flow
Once we hear the Savior's call we'll follow wherever he leads
Because of the love He has shown
And because he has called us to go we will answer

We will abandon it all for the sake of the call
No other reason at all but the sake of the call
Wholly devoted to live and to die

BRIDGE
Not for the sake of a creed or a cause
Not for a dream or a promise
Simply because it is Jesus who calls
And if we believe we'll obey

CHORUS
"For the Sake of the Call" by Steven Curtis Chapman

A Young Lady After God's Heart

I remember the first time I met this young lady she was just over a year old and I was 16. I knew that very moment she was pretty special... she made me dream of someday being a mom! That baby has since grown up, but yet still holding the sweetness and pureness and love she had then. There is a presence about her that very few possess. She is madly passionately and totally in love with Jesus, she doesn't have to say that... you just see that when she is around. She sings like an angel and when she does you imagine that Jesus stands as He did when Stephen was martyred. This young lady has dreams in her heart, and they so clearly match her "Daddy's" dreams, so they surely will come true. I watch her and see such hope and possiblity... I enjoy hearing her tell of the new things Jesus has done in her life... not the basic things like a prayer request answered, but the intimacy they just share. She's never been hardened by life or letdowns... she sees the good in others... she wants the best for others... This summer she will be away for a month and I am going to miss her during that time... but as she journals each days events during that month she'll be able to share that months events when she returns. She may come home with yet another song and perhaps she'll share it, though I may not understand the language :).... so to that "Young Lady After God's Heart" I love you very much!

His Will Or Mine????

Over the past week God has been really dealing with me on the issues of my heart and will vs. His heart and will for my life. Without realizing it I had set things up in my life (good things) as "God's Will" for my life when in reality these were my own things not necessarily His. So I started to earnestly pray about these "heart issues" and see just what exactly it is He wants! WOW was I in for a surprise... I can't get into the details of this because it isn't yet 100% confirmed, however, I am so excited! Excited over something that just over a week ago I totally was against... totally not my thing... something I would never ever on my own have even considered! But God has started to stir me in such a way that I want this thing almost more than that thing I've clung to for a year and a half! I guess my point to this blog isn't to confuse anyone or make them wonder what in the world I'm talking about it's just to make a point. When we are in the center of God's will totally willing to get out of His way and allow His agenda and not our own, it is the most amazing place you can be. I have felt so free this week, I feel the joy of the Lord in my life like I haven't in so many months, I feel safe and secure, at peace, and so totally 100% excited about the new path I'm on! God changes hearts! He's totally changed mine!
